Waffles Waffles and more Waffles

I believe the key to eating healthy and maintaining clean eating is meal prep...and finding food items that are easy to prep and still taste good on day 5! In my current private challenge group a lot of our success is coming from meal prep and planning. I am telling you IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PREP!!

One of my favorite items to meal prep is this yummy protein waffle/pancake recipe.  I prefer waffles over pancakes but the recipe works for both!  I make enough batter for 5--7 waffles so all I have to do is take out of the fridge, heat up, and put 2 tsps. of almond butter on it, and viola!  They are delicious and it satisfies the sweet cravings I have which is too often:)
Ingredients you need for 1 Waffle/Pancake:
Adapted from Tone It Up
 
1. Organic brown rice protein
2. 1/2 banana
3. 4 egg whites
4. 1/2 TBSP of vanilla unsweetened almond milk
5. Cinnamon
6. Almond butter
 
Directions:
 
1. Heat waffle maker or stove top
2. Mash banana and then add all the other ingredients
3. Stir until completed blended
4. Spray pan with cooking spray
5. Pour and let cook till done...for a pancake about 2 minutes on each side
 
I store in Ziploc bags in the fridge and when ready to eat heat up and put 1-2 tsps. of almond butter or peanut butter and folder over and eat like a sandwich:)
 
For all my challengers following the 21 Day Fix this is equivalent to
1 Red
1 Purple
1 tsp.
(you can add flaxseed to meet the orange container too)
