Foodie - Clean Orange Chicken

My new recipe this week is this amazing orange chicken. My kids loved and it was great for leftovers!

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. olive oil, coconut oil or grapeseed oil

Orange sauce
 3 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup raw honey (add more if want sweeter)
1/3 cup organic Tamari
1/4 cup organic rice wine vinegar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. ground ginger or fresh minced (can make it spicy)
1/2 tsp. white pepper
zest of one orange
pinch of crushed red pepper flakes

2 cups of shredded organic carrots (raw)
1 cup of organic chopped green beans (precooked)

Cook organic brown rice per instructions

Top with green onions and sesame seeds

  1. Heat oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until the chicken is browned and nearly cooked through.
  2. Pour in the orange sauce in with the chicken and put the carrots/beans in at the same time.
  3. Let the sauce come to a boil, then boil until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and serve over rice.
  5. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
