Healthy Nut - Yes, I got stuck with a needle just for vitamins!

Yes, yes for those that follow my instagram you saw that I posted a picture of myself getting IV vitamin therapy! I had a lot of questions about why in the world would I do that...Well, simply for preventative health. Most of you probably do not know but I am a registered nurse which is another reason why I am so passionate about health. I love researching and trying alternative methods for health prevention and this is one of them! As a nurse and a mom, I see the need to prevent and stay healthy for myself and my kids. Eating right, exercising, and taking supplements all help with that.
Prior to getting IV vitamin therapy, I had a few vitamin shots, which is a lower dosage of vitamins. I honestly, did not feel a difference and that is why I wanted to try the IV therapy. The infusion was a cocktail of vitamins (Myers Cocktail) with a higher dosage of vitamin C. It took about 45 minutes for it to infuse and then I was done. Within 24 hours I felt a ton of energy, not hyper energy, but just a state of alertness and clarity. I do not drink coffee/caffeine either. I would recommend IV vitamin therapy to anyone! If interested in this type of therapy check around with local holistic doctors as they usually provide this procedure. Some insurances even cover it!
